This equipment may be booked for a maximum time of 4 hours per day. Current Open Lab hours are Monday–Thursday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Please note, training certification is required before you are permitted to use this equipment. Training is available by appointment or on a first-come, first-served basis on Open Lab days.
Equipment
This station is equipped with a sewing machine and a cutting mat. Other equipment—including scissors and laptops for project research or tutorials—is available for your use in the lab.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Unless you are creating a pop-up craft, you must supply your own project materials, including thread.
- For your safety, closed-toe shoes must be worn in the Maker Lab.
- Users ages 8–12 must be accompanied by an adult to use equipment outside of scheduled library programs.
- If you have questions or need any special accommodations, please notify the Maker Lab Assistant on duty.
Seating
The standard station configuration features a work area with a sewing machine, cutting mat, and chair. The station should be straightened and everything returned to its original location when you are done.
