Join us for a hauntingly fun family event showcasing classic automobiles, games, musical entertainment, trunk-or-treating, a chili cook-off, and a costume and decoration contest.

There will be 8 categories for the costume contest: Scariest, Funniest, Most Original, Most Creative, Best Group/Couple, Cutest, Most Unique, and Most Colorful.

SCHEDULE

  • 11:00 AM Car and Trunk-or-Treat Contest Registration
  • 12:00 PM Chili Contest Registration and Chili Drop-off
  • 12:30 PM Chili Contest Judging
  • 1:00 PM Costume Registration and Judging
  • 2:00 PM Trunk-or-Treat Begins
  • 3:00 PM Car Decorating and Trunk Decorating Judging
  • 3:45 PM Winners Announced

  • Want to show off your classic car, truck, or motorcycle?
    All makes, models, and years welcome. It is $10 per vehicle to enter, and you must bring candy if you are entering the car-or-trunk contest.
    • There are 5 categories for the car contest: Best in Show, Best Interior, Best exterior, Nichols Community Choice Award, and Best Classic Vehicle. Winners will receive a plaque.
    • There are 5 categories for the trunk or treat contest: Kids Choice Award, Most Creative, Best Theme, Scariest, and Funniest. Winners will receive a gift card.
  • Admission is free to the public.
  • All contests will be judged by 3 library staff members and 3 Nichols PTA staff members. The PTA president will be the tie-breaker if needed.
