Once upon a time... ✨🎭
Enter a world of enchantment as Kentucky Shakespeare brings Fairy Tales from Around the World to life at BCPL! In this immersive workshop, children will dive into the art of dramatic storytelling, guided by a Kentucky Shakespeare Artist Educator. As they step into the roles of beloved characters, they’ll explore the rich history, culture, and geography behind these timeless tales.
Along the way, participants will build self-confidence, spark their imaginations, and uncover the enduring morals at the heart of these stories. This engaging experience also nurtures teamwork, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving, making it an unforgettable journey into the magical realms of fairy tales and the performing arts.

Kentucky Shakespeare serves communities through the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park, education programs for schools, public performances, and community outreach programs. Recently completing its 63rd season, the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park is the longest-running free, non-ticketed Shakespeare festival in the United States. Many of the community programs explore conflict resolution, empathy building, and communication, in a range of settings from preschools to senior centers.
