Come together for another epic SummerQuest Kickoff Festival brimming with fun activities and friends from the community. Enjoy performances by StageOne Family Theater, get competitive in our laser tag arena, visit hands-on STEM activity stations, and pet our furry animal friends from the Bun Bun Brigade. Plus, touch a fire truck, get your face painted, and more!

Featured guests & activities include:

  • Bullitt County Beekeepers Association | Air Garden
    Learn about the important role bees play in our ecosystem and the special bee projects at our Nichols location.
     
  • Bun Bun Brigade | Earth Garden
    Meet the volunteers and bunnies of the Bun Bun Brigade. We'll have a guinea pig, too!
     
  • Face Painting | Front Awning
    Get your face painted for free!
     
  • Laser Tag Arena | Meeting Room 2
    Play in 15-minute sessions starting at 1:00 PM. Intended for ages 12–18; admission will be first come, first served.
     
  • Louisville Water Company | Water Garden
    Learn about the process of water cleaning and filtration and enjoy related activities.
     
  • Salt River Electric | Fire Garden
    Learn about electricity and more with a selection of activities and stories.
     
  • Shepherdsville Fire Department | Back Parking Lot
    Touch a fire truck and meet the firefighters!
     
  • STEM Stations | Conference Room 2
    Get hands-on with a variety of science, technology, and engineering activities. We challenge you to construct something amazing together!
     
  • StageOne Family Theater | Meeting Room 1
    Enjoy a Storytellers LIVE! performance featuring an active, participatory reading of The Gruffalo, Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons, and We Are in a Book! The first performance set will begin at 1:00 PM with an encore performance at 2:00 PM.
