Regular yoga is so intimidating—try chair yoga!
Start your week well with "choga" fun and relaxation with certified instructor Sara Stearns of Derby City Yoga.
Now you can enjoy a gentler yoga workout without becoming an arm-and-leg pretzel. This low-impact version is performed with a chair for support, making it perfect for a beginner or someone with difficulty balancing. Some individuals in wheelchairs may also be able to participate; please consult your doctor first if you have medical questions or concerns.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Sara Stearns discovered her passion for yoga in 2016, finding balance and transformation through breath and movement. Inspired by the physical, mental, and emotional benefits she experienced, she pursued her First and Second Degree Reiki certifications in 2019, followed by multiple yoga teacher training certifications, including a 200-hour certification from Yoga Renew in 2021. Her classes blend humor, support, and a focus on mindful breathing to make yoga accessible and enjoyable for everyone. She aims to bring peace, flexibility, and positive change to her community through yoga.
For ages 16 and up. Just drop in, but remember to wear comfortable clothing!
