Literary fun is in bloom...

Unleash your creativity every Thursday in September with a month-long celebration of crafting and storytelling at our Nichols branch. Each week offers a new project that combines a love of books with hands-on fun. From crafting pounded flower tote bags to weaving macramé plant holders, there's something for everyone. Psst.. while you're here, don't forget to stock up on your next favorite reads!

  • September 5th - Clay Diffuser Necklace & Library Lanyard
Roll up your sleeves, pick out your stamp, and infuse it with your favorite essential oils. Transform a simple lanyard into a captivating piece of personal expression, and keep track of your library card by wearing it with pride.
  • September 12th - Flower Colored Transfer Tote & Flower Colored Pencil Pouch
Add a splash of color and creativity with pounded flower art, making a special library tote or pencil case as unique as you are.
  • September 19th - Macramé Plant Holder & Felt Succulents
Create a macramé plant holder and fill it with the plant pot and indoor plant clippings we provide while supplies last. Create a no-water-needed felt succulent to brighten up your space.
  • September 26th - Shrinky Dink & Fingerprint Jewelry
Choose an iconic banned book cover and re-create it on shrinky dink paper to keep it as a miniature memento. Create a personalized accessory using your fingerprint!

For all ages. Just drop in!
Seating and supplies will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Questions? Call Samantha at 543-7675 ext. 2560 or e-mail samantha@bcplib.org.
